Fun Saturdays

We try to do fun things as a family on Saturdays (especially the day when Martin doesn't get call from work to go in). We felt like those days are the most important and memorable because we get to do things together. Sometimes I have my camera and sometimes I don't. So, You'll have to bear me on my writing without seeing pictures.

One Saturday we called Matt (Martin's brother) and his wife, Colleen to have a BBQ at Parnell Park in Whittier. Grandma (Pam), Grandpa (Roger), and Taylor were also there. We invited Maly and Monsavanh too. The kids have fun playing at the playground and walking around the little zoo at Parnell Park. We asked Matt and Colleen to watch Tanner while we went to the temple. That's very nice of them. Colleen told me that Tanner was really good with them.

One Saturday we decided to go to the Santa Ana Zoo to see the monkeys and the birds. The also have an elephat ride but we didn't get to ride it. Tanner was just having so much fun riding on "Crush" and the "big lizard."

Last Saturday we went to a Chinese New Year Celebration (Imlek) by the Indonesian Chinese Community in Hacienda Heights. They have a live band, Indonesian foods, Dragon Dance, etc. I miss Indonesian food much especially the "Martabak Manis" (Sweet Pancake). Again, I forgot to bring my camera, oh well.
